History

Heaven if is an italian progressive metal band, having its headquarter in Milan. Everything started in Winter 2004, when drummer Ugo Lucchese decided to contact some talented musicians in order to develop a serious Prog-Metal project. In few days, the eclectic bass player Luca Di Mauro and guitar-heros Fabiano Molinaro and Glenn Ross join the band. In March 2005, the arrival of talented singer Andrew DeGuard complete the line-up and allow the band to reach a very high music quality. Despite Heaven If project was given birth only few years ago, all the guys show off a very long experience in the music field, having been all part of various Italian metal bands all along their careers. This allowed the band to be very performing since the beginning, the feeling did the rest…

Genre

Heaven if is not only a melodic prog metal band. In fact, the main purpose of the guys is to put together their passion for the most technical heavy metal with their musical influences coming from funky music, oriental feelings and worldwide typical folk/classical refrains. The aim is to obtain a very original mix of sounds, keeping safe, at the same time, the “straight through” listening approach of each track.

Activity

The band spent all 2005 in studio, searching for groove and inspiration and writing down lyrics and music. Heaven if finally play live in 2006. The first impact is very encouraging, the skills of each member are exalted by the live experience and the audience is very enthusiastic of the original sound of the band. Also famous musicians and people working in the music business are pleasantly impressed and suggest the band to hold on (Thank you all!). This makes the guys very self-confident, so that in the second half of the year the band starts recording the first EP, simply named “Heaven If”, that sees the light in December 2006. In 2007, the guys, during the live promotion of EP, compose new songs and in the last months of the year decide to record the first full-length named “IntroSpectral”. The album is completed in January 2008.
